The Art of Pysanky -Ukrainian Easter Eggs

Join us for a busy day learning the traditional Easter decorating technique of Pysanky. You'll learn to decorate eggs using the beeswax resist method. When the eggs are decorated with beeswax, we will dip them in cold dye. In the afternoon, we'll have fun creating an autumn collage. This class is suitable for beginners. All Art materials are provided.

Fluffy Eggs (needle felting, clay, paper)
Join us for a fun day where you'll learn the needle felting technique to create Easter eggs and bunnies from raw wool, just in time for the holiday! In the afternoon, we'll create paper baskets to prepare you for the Easter hunt. This class is suitable for beginners. All Art materials are provided.

Acrylic Pouring and Weaving (paint & textile)
Come and join us for a fun day of creativity and discovery.
We’ll start the morning with the circular weaving technique, teaching you to create your own patterns and designs from fabric strips. After lunch, we’ll learn the magic of Acrylic Pouring and create stunning artwork on canvas. This class is suitable for beginners. All Art materials are provided.

Yayoi Kusama-inspired Pumpkins (plaster, paper & paint)
Come and explore the art of contemporary Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama while having fun with plaster! You’ll learn how to create your own textured pumpkins inspired by Yayoi's distinctive style from plaster. In the afternoon, we’ll paint and decorate our masterpieces and have fun with mixed-media flower and pumpkin collages.This class is suitable for beginners. All Art materials are provided.

The Scream (drawing, painting & air clay)
Join us for a busy day and learn about the world-famous artist Edward Munch and his famous piece, The Scream. We’ll start by learning the technique of one-point perspective drawing and then create a mixed-media collage inspired by Munch’s art. In the afternoon, we will recreate our artworks from fluffy and colourful clay. This class is suitable for beginners. All Art materials are provided.

Friday 25.April 9am - 3pm
Cardboard Castles
( paper,paint,clay)
Join us for a day of fun and royal activities! We’ll start by designing and constructing a simple cardboard castle with square turret towers. After painting and decorating, we will work with self-drying and polymer clay and craft figures of the people or animals living in our
kingdom. And of course, we will have our fancy tea with Queen Nibbles after lunch :).This class is suitable for beginners. All Art materials are provided.

Holiday Programme Information
The Crafty Steps Holiday Programme is a skills-based introductory program, teaching simple Arts and Crafts techniques. Our programme is run in a small creative environment to nurture a passion for learning. The number of students is limited to ten to ensure the best learning outcomes and promote a fun experience for each student.
Each student must bring a drink bottle, morning tea and lunch. Fruit will be provided. If it is a wet day, please bring a raincoat or jacket.
Fees are to be paid at the time of booking. We do not refund Holiday Programme fees if your child is unwell to unable to attend. However, we will give you a credit to choose another programme or class in the future.
Caregivers are not required to stay during our class time.However, you are welcome to wait till your child is settled in and happy for you to leave.
