Join us for an exciting day dedicated to the incredible artist Gustav Klimt and his artworks! We’ll start the day by creating a mixed-media collage inspired by Klimt's love of pattern, gold, and cats. Afterwards, we will have fun working with polymer clay to craft adorable cat ornaments or brooches. After baking, all the ornaments will be decorated with paint. This class is suitable for beginners. All Art materials are provided.

Felted Piggies in a Tin
(needle felting, clay, paper)
Join us for a fun day of learning the traditional technique of needle felting as we create adorable guinea pigs from raw wool! In the afternoon, we'll craft more friends from wool and make food and treats from air clay and paper. We will also add decorations for their new home, made from tin. Handmade felted piggies class is back due to popular demand from last year. This class is suitable for children aged 7 and above. All Art materials are provided.

René Magritte & Acrylic Pouring (collage, painting)
Join us to learn about renowned Belgian surrealist artist René Magritte and his witty, thought – provoking art. In the morning, we will learn about surrealism and make a collage inspired by René Magritte's art. In the afternoon, we will explore the magic of Acrylic Pouring. We'll learn how to create a pouring medium and embrace the fun of mixing and moving paints on the canvas. This class is suitable for beginners. All Art materials are provided.

Mini Art Gallery (paper construction, paint, clay )
Join us for a fun-filled day of creativity with paper construction, paint, and clay! We’ll start the day by building a Mini Art Gallery from paper and boxes. Next, you create unique frames for your artwork from polymer clay. After baking the frames, we’ll paint them and craft mini artworks and decorations for your miniature gallery. This class is suitable for beginners. All Art materials are provided.

Embroidery Landscape

Come and join us as we explore the colours of autumn and embroidery techniques. On Tuesday, we will have fun with watercolours as we will create a few autumn landscapes. The favourite we will paint on canvas, and later we will add embroidery and beading techniques to create a mixed media collage (with cotton and beads). This class is suitable for beginners. All Art materials are provided.

Dragon's Eyes

Join us for a fun day filled with fascinating dragons! We will start by learning to draw a fierce, up-close dragon eye using colored pencils, focusing on shading, blending, and adding intricate scales and highlights. After lunch, we’ll put our newfound skills to the test by crafting dragon eyes from clay and finishing them with a clear cabochon for a realistic touch. All Art materials are provided. Join us for a fun day filled with creativity and beads! On Thursday, we'll explore the beauty of plants as we draw and paint our favourite plants. After lunch, you will craft your very own plant using wire and beads, perfect for hanging in your room to add a touch of sparkle. This class is suitable for beginners. All Art materials are provided.

Travelling with Mona Lisa

Join us for an exciting day dedicated to Leonardo Da Vinci and his mysterious Mona Lisa! On Friday, we'll explore a variety of artistic techniques and media, including chalk drawing, watercolours, acrylics, monoprinting, and collage. We will create our own versions of the Mona Lisa and take the drawing on holiday to New York. Our "travelling journey" will combine all different techniques into a vibrant multimedia collage set in New York. This class is suitable for beginners. All Art materials are provided.

Holiday Programme Information
The Crafty Steps Holiday Programme is a skills-based introductory program, teaching simple Arts and Crafts techniques. Our programme is run in a small creative environment to nurture a passion for learning. The number of students is limited to ten to ensure the best learning outcomes and promote a fun experience for each student.
Each student must bring a drink bottle, morning tea and lunch. Fruit will be provided. If it is a wet day, please bring a raincoat or jacket.
Fees are to be paid at the time of booking. We do not refund Holiday Programme fees if your child is unwell to unable to attend. However, we will give you a credit to choose another programme or class in the future.
Caregivers are not required to stay during our class time.However, you are welcome to wait till your child is settled in and happy for you to leave.
