After School Classes
Looking for a magical way to spark creativity?
Crafty Steps' traditional art & craft classes in Christchurch empower children of all skill levels to develop new talents.
Our after-school classes run on Monday, Tuesdays & Wednesdays for 60 minutes on a term-by-term basis and are designed
for 6-12 year olds.
Buttercups
Monday 4 - 5pm
For boys & girls, 6-12 years old.

Cornflowers
Tuesday 4 - 5pm
For boys & girls, 6-12 years old.

Lilies
Wednesday 4 - 5pm

Term 4 2026 Program
1. Kangaroos - space, proportion & movement - inspired by the Australian Outback (1 class)
2. Yayoi Kusama - artist's study, paper & plaster construction, acrylic paint (2 classes)
3. Symmetrical Sugar Skulls – inspiration from Mexico – felt pen & symmetry (1 class)
4. Exploring Sharks – silhouette painting, contrast & layering colours & textures (1 class)
5. Water Reflection Landscape - colour, texture & movement - mixed media ( 2 classes)
6. Spring Flowers - wet felting technique over resist & sewing ( 1 class)
7. The Christmas Fish - simple weaving with recycled materials ( 1 class)
Each class is limited to 8 students; some classes may be full.
